Howard Shecter
Executive Partner
Howard Shecter is an Executive Partner of ClearSky. Mr. Shecter was formerly Managing Partner and Chairman of Morgan Lewis, a leading 2,000+ lawyer international law firm and is a nationally recognized M&A and corporate governance lawyer. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Venerable Insurance & Annuity Company, a $100 billion portfolio company of Apollo Global Management. Mr. Shecter previously served as Chairman of the Board of Harris Interactive (Nasdaq) until its $200 million sale to Nielsen and as a member of the Board and Board executive committee of Safeskin Corp. (Nasdaq) until its $850 million sale to Kimberly-Clark. He was also the designated Board observer at Iconix International (Nasdaq) and is a director and investor in several emerging growth technology companies. In 2019, Mr. Shecter received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for career achievements and public service. Mr. Shecter graduated from Harvard University, cum laude, in Government and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a past President of the Harvard Club of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania Law Alumni Society.
