James Huff is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of ClearSky and a member of its Investment Committee. Mr. Huff has more than 20 years of financial experience, including in structuring, due diligence, and execution of debt and equity transactions. Prior to founding ClearSky, Mr. Huff served as Vice President, Emerging Technologies for NextEra Energy and served in finance-related positions with Chicago Venture Partners and with Deloitte. Mr. Huff holds a B.S. from the University of Florida in finance and an M.S. from the Illinois Institute of Technology in quantitative finance. Mr. Huff currently serves as a member of the board of directors of ClearTrace in addition to currently serving as a board observer of Field Holdings, ClimateTrade and Powerphase. Mr. Huff was also formerly a member of the board of directors of Aquicore (acquired by Infogrid), AutoGrid (acquired by Schneider Electric), Entic (acquired by Aquicore), Greensmith (acquired by Wartsila), iS5 Communications (acquired by Phoenix Contact), Novinium (acquired by Southwire), PrecisionHawk (acquired by Field Holdings), Resilient (acquired by IBM), and Space Time Insight (acquired by Nokia) in addition to formerly serving as a board observer of Aspen Aerogels (listed on the NYSE), Cylance (acquired by Blackberry), ClimateTrade, Enphase Energy (listed on Nasdaq), and Verodin (acquired by FireEye).
